Anyone remember this police chase?
You get about 5 to 6 minutes in and you start rooting for the guy. Not long after, it seems like the helicopter is going to lose him. Poor guy really takes a beating at the end.

I remember it well.

Looks to me that he was on fire, and they were trying to put out the flames.

poor guy

He sued Louisville police and Indiana state police. A federal judge dismissed the case because the low life didn’t show for the case and his lawyers stated they could not find him nor contact him

I do not remember any large scale marching/protests for Police cruelity nor Al or Jessee trying to help the guy. Not ok for whities to run from law enforcement. Got to keep in mind that if they shoot you, they get to take a paid vacation while it's being investigated.
Appeared maybe his clothes got on fire somehow and some of them were trying to help by stomping out the flames.
They need to hire that guy as a drive Ed instructor for defensive driving classes for the Police force. 20 police vec's could not head him off at the pass.

I was really rather in awe at some of the maneuvers he made to elude them. The guy just flat out, out drove them.

It sure must have been embarrassing to be a member of that inept department.

Outrun and out manuvered them in a little ole wimpy pickup, maybe a 4 banger.
and they tried to help him at the end, possibly stomping fleas from his head. (when they seen he is a whitie they can get free shots andAl and Jessee won't bother the police force for bothering a whitie on TV.
Some of them officers went (transferred) to Uvalde, maybe.

I remember this documentary also-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzMpOvKxXdM3 -
Filmed for a measley $4 million, and Burt got one million of that. One of the most profitable movies ever made.
The director was a stunt man who had never directed before. He also wrote the screenplay.

It's kinda grainy but yeah, he's in the passenger seat hanging onto the windshield for dear life.
