While I would never want to see anyone stuck in a Russian prison, it seems the news media keeps missing one major point in this whole mess. She violated one of their laws....bad things can happen when you do that, especially in a communist country..
She will be home as soon as Russia figures out how to get some concession out of the Biden administration....

The fact of the matter is that trying to take illegal drugs of any type or any quantity to a foreign country.........especially one that is not friendly to the US.......is just a dumb idea.

Maybe some of the white AMERICANS being detained by Russia that were not being mentioned on the news can squeeze in a plea now from the background.
Putin is in the drivers seat now.
Seen on the news few days ago that during a survey that 10% of the people surveyed think America is headed in the right direction with Joe at the wheel. I'm thinking Putin would be one of that 10%.
(I'm thinking maybe that was a world wide survey and maybe no Americans in the USA included in the survey)

There's a TV show called "To Catch A Smuggler" in which a lot of Americans are caught with drugs and put in prison. Not a single one of them gets either any attention from our media or help from our government.
There is zero reason why Griner should be any different.
