The last living WW2 MOH recipient died today aged 98.
Herschel Woody Williams from WV.
He used a flame thrower and demo charges to clean out IJA bunkers on Iwo Jima.
A true American bad ass.

What a warrior. Good God I would not have wanted to run a flamethrower. Lots could go wrong, like, you could get hit in the fuel tank by an enemy sniper.
