The cottonwoods are really putting out, quite late but they seem to be trying to make up for it.

Seems like everything is late this year. Saw my first fawn last week and my first turkey baby this morning. The cottonwoods still haven't snowed much.

I remember having a real snowfall in Colorado in late June many years ago. That was back in the days when we got a massive snow pack in the high country every winter. For the at least the last 40 years, the snow pack has been on a strong downward trend.

I have a picture just like Mr. Perfects picture except mine was July 4th, 1968! The pic was taken in the Jim Bridger National Forest in Wyoming! I woke up about as cold as I have ever been. I can 100% tell you that my sleeping bag was a summer bag, not a winter bag. COLD, COLD, COLD!!!
