At 2 o'clock, on a perfect, warm, sunny day, the little green eye'd gal with the nervous smile, said "I do."
35 years she has put up with me. I know God has a special spot for her in heaven, like the chair next to Mother Teresa.
Good, bad and all points in between, she has been there. Gave me 2 good sons. I let her go to all the garage sales see wants, she lets me have my guns and hunting. She is a better fisherman than me. A good cook. Puts up with my 2 cats. Jumps right in and gets bloody butchering deer or the chickens and rabbits we raise. Raises a hell of a garden and works to get it all canned / frozen. Never been one for fancy clothes or jewelry, would rather if I want to get her something, use the money for the house.
We are going to have a nice dinner with our sons. Older son, Jake is an awesome grill-master. Thursday, we put 281 pounds of organic, grass feed, open pasture raised beef in the freezer, so Jake is going to do some steaks with all the trimmings. Josh, our younger son, Josh, is a hell of a baker and makes some fancy pies and cakes, asked if we wanted a pie or a cake. The other half, 289 pounds, went to a friend. Smaller beef, hanging weight was was just under 600.
I could tell you lots of reasons why I love her and all the things she is and what she does, to sum it up, she is my bestest friend in the world and I'd marry her all over again.
If I have to say anything negative about her, no matter how hard I tried, I never got her to learn how to drive stick-shift, so after my '98 pickup got totaled in 2000 by a drunk driver, the next one had an automatic. Got her to understand how a 4X4 works, she just never could get left foot, right foot, heel and toe down.
What does a guy give his wife, after 35 years? Well, she has wanted new carpet in the bedroom and new drapes in the living room, so, she is going to get them. What do I want after 35 years? Another 35 years with her.

Congratulations on finding the perfect wife. Mine is in the almost perfect class, but boy is she hard to train. 😁 Our 52nd anniversary will be in Sept.

Happy anniversary. Ours is July 5th 42 years. Today is my wife’s birthday so I sent her this song. It works well for anniversaries also.

Congrats on the many years together I know it takes two to make it that long so you must not be too bad lol
she Sounds a lot like the gal I was blessed with but she did master a manual Transmission car .we have 43 years invested June 9th was our milestone and I am positive she has front row reserved seat
