Sweet summer rain.
It's been really dry here for some time. We've been watering the garden mornings and evenings. I woke up this morning to the rumblings of thunder. It's going to be in the 90's this week, so this will really help.

We just had a thurnderstorm roll thru and it rained cats.. not dogs

It's been a very cold and wet June here. Hopefully when summer arrives it doesn't just instantly turn all the extreme vegetation growth into massive fire fuel.

Our gentle rain rolled thru three o'clock am
Took out some large tree limbs and our electric
Last I saw 145k in Ohio with out power
And it's the hottest day in a long timeheat index over a 100 and like being in a oven lol
Dug out our old generator and a crap load of heavy extensoin cords
Just found out our local substation got hammered as in wiped out looks like lightning smoked it
they are having to truck in all new to be able to get our power back on
Currently have a portabe sub station on route to get temporary power
Looks like a trip to a gas station
And a lot more work for me to get power to our well and water heater maybe dig out a window ac unit
Could be a lot worse in so many ways.
I am just glad that's all we have to deal with
