Corky's Special Day!
My best friend Corky turns 7 today! He has been my shadow since he was a pup and goes just about everywhere I go. My wife says I spoil him but in truth, Corky has spoiled me. Never before has there been a dog that actually shares my same wavelength. He has set me on a schedule in my retired years that keeps me moving. Yes! I'm truly Blessed!
I think I will be throwing him a party today! ☺️

He's a beauty. I took my old buddy swimming yesterday. My wife knows that I will be inconsolable when his time comes.

Went by the adopt pet center Friday coming back from license branch... getting close to getting another dog.

You are indeed blessed to know the love and companionship of a good dog. Like you, I had "Eiger", my Bernese Mountain Dog who for nearly eleven years was (and remains) the best friend I ever had. I am happy for your good times together and envious of all the memories you and Corky still have yet ahead of you.

I remember your posts about Eiger fondly. My youngest daughter has an interest in owning a Bernese MD, and I have encouraged her that way based largely on your posts.

Berners are natural huggers and fantastically loyal. I remember riding horseback down to the lake to go fishing, Eiger following behind and then sleeping in the sun while I wasted bait. I do hope your daughter gets a Berner. She will have a friend for all of its life, and fondest memories of it after.

Unconditional love dogs are truly man's best friend We have been blessed many times over our life have three dogs now oldest is 12 years old
