DOM S&W SD40VE

Friend of mine just got this used pistol and is curious about approximate DOM sn is FZA3896 most i have found is they were introduced around 2012... any help appreciated, based on pics he sent me and looking up on the auction side it is only worth about $175-220 so not a expensive gun but he likes the way it shoots.
