State and local taxes account for the difference. That I pay $7.65/gal for diesel in Pismo Beach, California is not because we pay more for a barrel of crude.

For sure, that's why the left coast states are so much more expensive. With all of their left leaning liberal policies, it's hard to believe that people can still afford to live here, let alone want too.

Yea but you can get free needles and they have decriminalized HARD drugs such as meth! Cali gets what they asked for! I can't imagine trying to live there as even a moderate conservative! That state has been taken over by communists.(that state and several others)

Average house cost in my county (San Luis Obispo) is $680K. Average cost in county beach communities is twice that. I moved back here after 20+ years in north Idaho due to health, old age and weather, and the fact that the demographic there was becoming little different than here; transplanted Californians abound, and they brought their mindset with them. If I have to be around stupid, at least I can be where it's warm.

I currently drive a Nissan Versa (11 gal or so tank) that gets fantastic mileage, live 1 mile from work and have to fill up every three weeks or so. I'm lucky.

Why is everyone whining? GREEN FONT HERE.......................sarcasm people.

I am seriously thinking of buying a bicycle right now.

Going back to the original comment - "Third. Where is the outrage? I swear when gas prices hit $4.00 that was the end of the world. Or am I remembering things wrongly?"

I have an ex-coworker that railed and railed and railed when prices got near 4 when Bush was in office.

Never heard a peep when it got worse under the next regime. He didn't want to talk about it.

I think he may be dead now. Haven't heard from him in quite some time.

I was reading comments from this admittedly pro-environmentalist who says it is all just supply and demand and that he thinks this will help push people into "smarter" alternatives. I hadn't considered that being the end game idea for the prices.

They say the price is based on supply and demand, but I have yet to hear of anyone running out like they did in early to mid 70's.

Waiting for Bank of America to have loan officers set up at gas stations.

For the folks that don't pay their CC off each month , just think what that gas really costs at 18-24% on their CC.

Better yet, I'm sure they will offer the Biden gas card soon! That's the one you REALLLY wanna get(green font).

This is a tactical move on the libs push for green energy and no more USA world dominance, so far their plan is working great!

Killing America one day at a time!

Yep, give them a Biden gas card. They can call it the green card since they are letting anyone into this Country and they no longer have a need for the ones they already have.

$4.29/gal here in SW Arkansas this morning. "Only" cost me $80 to fill my F150.

Had my at home diesel tank topped off, just took 105 gallons, 600.00+-.

Sent them on to the church I go to for their winter heating kerosene. Have not seen that bill but I guess over 1,200.00 for 200 gallons.

Here is my beeoch about the issue, we are being robbed blind and just think of the elderly drawing less than 800.00 per month "entitlements". They are going to be cold and hungry if they survive the effects of FJB.

Talking to a young man, afixin to get married and set up house keeping. Land is sky if you can even find it.

New home prices have doubled and what I hear banks are beginning to stop letting out construction loans.

He said in a broken voice, what are young people supposed to do? Again thanks FJB.

To those "pro enviro" people which is greener. Oil traveling from the Red Sea or oil piped from Canada? Far as I know pipes don't use fuel to transport. as for "alternatives" they ain't one. Can you buy an EV for a grand or for five grand that won't catch fire? wait until you have to dispose of one of these. They don't have a big enough battery recycling drop offs.

I was looking over my Chevron bill and they're charging 29.9% if i don't pay in full every month. I think they're worse than payday loan places.
