Had me a visitor yesterday.
After having lots of Whitetail deer, moose, elk, turkeys, bobcats, coyotes and 2 wolves wander through my property, I was graced with this great creature the other day.
Took a short video of him and pulled this still from it. He went behind my game camera so didn’t get a shot of him on it. Moved the camera back so if he comes through again, maybe I can get one.

nice visitor and photo thanks for posting
thank goodness we do not any around here my wife would be trying to make a "pet" out of it 😲 she was just out in the yard trying to make buddy's with a Racoon offering up marshmallows 🤨 and looking for the skunks evening visit
side note I find it funny just a couple hours ago I was thinking back as a young kid traveling in the smoky mountain's and watching the people feeding the black bears . and of course the bears had learned people were going to pass out food . times were different and I have to wonder how many people were injured while out side there car for that special photo or movie moment
way before news and internet was 24/7 instant news

I am about 90 miles west of Spokane. 24 miles south of Kettle Falls on Lake Roosevelt.
It is a Cinnamon bear, a member of the black bear family. Looks like a Griz but it’s not.
There are also Cougars in the area. I haven’t seen one yet but my neighbors have.

Years ago (50?) I spent some time with friends up around Ione-Metaline Falls. It was pretty wild country back then. I spose now it's not so much but still beautiful I'm sure. I would see cinnamon phase bears in MT once in awhile, but blondies were more common.

...Beautiful animal, regardless he/she could still bite holes in your skull, crush it...then have you for lunch, or maybe dinner...
...I had a Black Bear wonder thru my camp one night, checked everything out, glad he wasnt interested in coming into the tent with me...
...I saw a guy being dragged 100' IN his sleeping bag one night before he managed to get out 😁😲 bear had clamped down on the foot end of his sleeping bag....seems he had put a bunch of jerky and dried fruit in his sleeping bag to keep it safe 😁...stupid is as stupid does...
...The coolest sighting I ever had was down in Big Bend...a Mountain Lion was circling camp about 50 yds out one night...had heard him growl and found him with a flashlight, theyre a lot bigger in person!...

I remember more than a few afternoons in north Idaho with a mama black bear and cubs enjoying the huckleberries along the path between my cabin and the barn. Horses always ate late on those days.

Speaking of huckleberries. Back when I lived in the Seattle area, there was a treeless ridge behind my house that was covered in huckleberries bushes. When they were ripe, there would be at least six bears grazing on the berries. I had loads of fun buzzing them with my Cessna 140. Those bears can run when they need to! I wish I had taken videos of it.
