World Series time
Little league that is. Hawaii vs Curacao starting now on ABC. One of our smaller states with a population of 1.5 million versus an island with a population of about 150 thousand. Both teams looked good yesterday winning their championships and now it is for all the marbles. This is the way all sports should be played - fun, passion, heart and no big bucks or politics involved. Doesn't matter to me who wins, it is just a joy to watch compared to the normal sports programs. Bob

Hawaii won all their games except the semi final with Nolensville, TN via the 10 point rule. Up until the championship, they had outscored their collective opponents by 47 - 2. Tennessee and Washington scored the only 2 runs against them. They defeated Curacao 13 - 3 in the final. They must have nothing to do but play baseball out there.

Those little guys sure give it their all, don't they? Lots of fun to watch.

Hawaii had a great game. Lancaster, their pitcher did a pretty darn good job and Curacao never really threatened. I felt a little sorry for Curacao because I thought they were going to run out of pitchers. No matter who they put in, Hawaii was still getting hits. Kids had fun, crowd had fun and I enjoyed the game too. Sports don't get much better than that. Bob

We had a team from here in Louisville that won it all back in 2002.. Wow, that was twenty years ago.
