Salsa has been made
Should've made it on Wednesday but I was being lazy so I made it on Thursday. It's basically a spin on Pico de Gallo. It has Serrano for extra heat and Garlic because I like Garlic. now after work I need to pick up oysters. I'll hit up Whole Foods since they seem to carry other varieties of Oysters. Last time I found Nirvana Oysters that was new to me. They were fat and filled out the shell nicely. So with luck I'll get three or four variety of oysters.
Maybe I'll get some shrimps for coctel de camarones (Mexican shrimp coccktail). I'll need to pick up a thing of Clamato for that. Then I can have Red Beer. Mmmmmm... Red Beer. Haven't had that in a while and it just so happens I just put Tecate in the fridge. looks like I'm having a Red banner Friday (and maybe Saturday, too).

...Oysters are "ok" if they are fried really, really crispy...
...Everyone I know who eats raw oysters, doesnt chew 'em, just lets 'em slide down(yuck)...so I dont understand putting something that looks like that in my mouth just to swallow it...they look like God knows what, dipped in snot...

My tastes have changed over the years. Used to enjoy canned smoked oysters but not anymore.
I did the raw thing a long time ago while drinking beer with my father in law. Both clams and oysters. That guy sure did bring out the caveman in me! 😁

yeah the wife got onto me about shaving, as I haven't shaved for week or so, and she wanted to know when I planned on shaving. I told her I would as soon as we had sex, she just looked at me and said,, good luck with that santa..........

Can't buy ammo without a background check so I might as well eat my ammo money.
Wish I could find bigger clams. All I ever see are the Manilla and little necks. Too much work for little nibble as a raw bar.

Your salsa sounds like our Bruschetta. Pico de Gallo with plenty of garlic & spices. Usually on Italian bread or with shrimp.
Instead of the standard cocktail sauce, we coat the shrimp with Old Bay Blackened.

Yeah I suppose if I cooked the salsa. Clamato and this salsa makes a nice chunky Bloody Maria with shrimp.
