When I was in grade school, that slogan came out. They were asking for people to help with it. One of my classmates won the contest. He submitted the sentence that followed “ See the USA in a Chevrolet” with “America is asking you to buy”.

At least that is what I remember even though the line went “America is asking you to call”.

ok I am sure I am not the olny one but or really rare occasions I will get one of the old jingles " stuck " in my head for a couple hours just singing along while doing something boring like mowing the grass .😬

The cigarette pack with a lady's legs sticking out as she danced around may have helped me not start smoking -- Chesterfield???

"Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco"..........and I absolutely HATE cigarettes, due to a heavy smoking relative when I was young.

    Dang........I'm older than I thought.

I would like to have a equal sum of money the tobacco company's spent on advertising and sponsorships

"Winners warm up with Malt-O-Meal" sung to the Col. Bogey March.

I read somewhere that "Luck Strike Green has Gone to War" was just an advertising gimmick because they'd been wanting to drop the green for a while and doing so not only saved them money on an expensive ink but made them sound patriotic in doing so🙄

Granny Clampett said about Winston cigarettes "Winston tastes good like a cigarette had oughta."
