Back when I was a member of a national affiliate corvette club there was a garage in Calf. that modified vettes to pull trailers . One guy was profiled who towed 24 foot sailboat with his ,think it was in the San Diego area .

Someone had fun with a sawzall. Extending the wheelbase would be difficult. A C4 stock would have about a 2.5 foot bed or so behind the passenger glass they put in.
