nice , congrats on a job well done and ahead of the weather is great ,
my time helping on a farm was 45 years ago on a at the time a GF family's farms, ( most every one of her relative's owned a farm ) I can say like most all of you when younger and some may still doing it , I sure don't miss all the manual lifting and stacking of hay and straw 😟

Nice pictures....that sure takes the fun out of it. In my younger day I ate plenty of dust, had plenty blisters and pulled a few briars out in my hands. Me and the old man would put up 7000 bales a years with very little other help. We did have seven wagons and pulled them behind the baler. We would bale almost a 1000 bales loading the wagons of the evening and then unload the next morning starting at sunup before it got crazy hot. I don't miss those days.

Wow! The folks who take care of my little corner of heaven came up short 100 bales overall. They are going to look at a second cutting this year.
Never had to do it before, but his cows will appreciate the effort. The summer drought and heat wave really put a hurt on the grass. Since the rains have returned the grass has come on good.
They usually just bush hog in the fall and don't go through the expense of bringing all their equipment here. This year it will be worth the expense.

I spent a long summer loading alfalfa bales on a dairy farm in Idaho. They make 'em 95 pounds, for some reason. My partner and I had a pop up loader and we put a thousand bales in the barn per day.
Bad memories I must have been desperate to take that job.
