Manhunt near me
They've been looking for this guy for a week.
Search for break-in suspect in Brush Mountain area
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect is believed to be Shawn Tolbert, who is the subject of additional searches in the Giles and Craig counties area.
Law enforcement have been running up and down the highway all afternoon.

Would be a shorter manhunt if they would just DRIVE instead of all that running! 😁

Three weeks into a multi-agency man hunt here. Can't find their butt with map and compass. Chasing squirrels (for want of a better description of the fumbling) around 2 states and 1/2 dozen counties.
Rough dude-he killed, dismembered, and burned the victim. Knows more about hiding than the cops know about finding. Maybe not even still in the area but the fuzz just keeps butting the same wall.

Sounds like an upstanding dude. We have some of his relatives around here.

"MAN HUNTING.......The ultimate SPORT"
Used to be when I was younger. Now the LEO's keep all the tags for themselves.
Last time we had a serious crime (same area & town), the cops prudently 'allowed' the suspect to flee to KC area so they weren't further endangered. I played armchair QB and plotted where I guessed that suspect would go--TOUCHDOWN. His getaway ride took the route I'd picked as most likely and he rode away.

if they are looking for some REAL men Jim, just send em across the border to WVa...............

Few years back King Cuomo chased two escaped convicts for at least a couple of months. Cost the taxpayers at least a couple of million. Finally, they killed one and when time for photo op he refused to allow the Governor of Vermont who greatly assisted to be a part of the Photo Op. Yep, Andrew was a real media hog. Thank God he is gone.-------------------Ray

Honestly, this sounds like a good reason to call in a local militia.

According to the news tonight he's still on the run.

Yes.

Better luck catching them if you put a reward on their head.

Now it's being reported that he caused the death of a dog.

The dog died... Sounds like they may put the go John Wick on him.

As well they should, Al.

In the local case, I'd think $10K would shake loose some tongues but apparently this guy is among some pretty tight lipped folks.

I proposed a similar response after our local school received multiple bomb threats a few years back. I was informed by the county Sheriff(a guy who didn't even own a gun before being elected Sheriff, who had never put in a hard day's work, and who had absolutely ZERO knowledge of any sort of military activities) that protecting the school was HIS responsibility and that people like me would be more dangerous than the person making bomb threats. The cops are 'trained' you know.
Later, the same Sheriff threatened to arrest local citizens who took up arms to protect their homes and families during an edge of town manhunt.
Fuzz don't think anyone besides themselves are capable of this stuff(and then display their incapability for weeks on end). Some of us were chasing 'Charlie' through the jungle at a time when the local Sheriff was spending Daddy's money on cars and girls so maybe we DO know something.

Sounds like that sheriff needs to go. It's an elected position and I'm of the opinion that anyone capable should run for it.

Unfortunately, he ran unopposed in the last election. Pretty sure he'll retire after this stint cause he's 71 years old right now.

Got his law school degree b/c the coach needed him on the team.
