Amen William! They also believe beef and chicken is something created at the grocery store. If the apocalypse occurred, they would be the first folks begging for food because "There's none in my fridge!"

Perfect example of what Doc used to tell us students all those years ago. He always said that biggest challenge for wildlife professionals is not the lack of scientific knowledge to manage wildlife, but educating/managing the public to allow them to manage wildlife.

I remember watching a local reporter going on about a local law enforcement agency going from 9MM handguns to 40MM handguns. Obviously they were switching to .40 caliber but she had no clue. Would love to see the holster required for a 40MM handgun.

Our area went to 911 addresses years ago. When something happens on a road not in city limits, For instance, 7066 Country Lane, the dummies say " the 7000 block of Country Lane" We don't have blocks out here in the country!

Like many of you, I get flustered by the ignorance of the news media concerning firearms, but I'm absolutely flabbergasted at this one. The Nashville, TN FOX affiliate ran a story, this morning, about the TN Wildlife Resources Agency darting a whitetail buck and removing a crossbow bolt stuck in between his eyes - now looking for the attempting poacher. During the banter between the co-hosts, both said they were "not familiar with the terms", and had no idea what a buck is. Must have never watched Disney or Animal Planet.

    Wow.

Jimmy the Greek used the term and lost his job.

At least they apparently understood crossbow bolt, heck all cars have bolts, right?
