Meteor go BOOM!
This morning, one of the Perseid meteors entered the atmosphere and exploded very near to Salt Lake City. My daughter said it was very loud at her house, and shook the whole house. I heard it in Ogden, 50 miles to the north, and thought it was a small earthquake. New reported it a short time later and conformed it was a meteor. The Perseid meteor shower is going on now.

When I was about 12, I saw a small one land in the road behind my dad's car when we were traveling. I didn't tell because no one would believe me.
