They are going to go after pass-through businesses. Small business owners are going to have to spend endless hours and thousands of dollars pacifying these goons, who are going to be compelled to collect enough to pay for the $ 87 billion.
It is more evidence of the assault on the Middle Class by the Communist Left in this country. The federal government can control the wealthy with their own money, and can control the poor by doling out money. The middle class, unbeholden to government cannot be controlled so easily.
It is another step on the path to the planned destruction of the freedom and liberty that once was the US of A.

It seems that it would be very hard for the IRS to even break even with such expenditures.
Goes to show you that they are willing to go in the hole with our tax money just to add another anchor around the necks of small business owners who already struggle enough these days!
Heck! If it were up to me, I would implement a percentage tax to ALL and then totally disband the IRS!

Having been a goobermint employee, I'd bet the opposite. Most of those new hires will be lucky to get $50k/year.
It is still a whopping amount of money added to the already grossly excessive fed budget.

Iffin I had the power the IRS would be abolished and a straight sales tax would be implemented.
Rich pay a rich tax, middle class a middle tax, poor would pay a poor tax. No deductions or loop holes.
Tax rate would be much much less than it is now.
