Winchester 1895 Handguard Question
We'll try it this way. It's a Winchester 1895 carbine, I think, but with no handguard. I don't even see how a handguard would fit on it.

there should be no hand guard. they only 1895 that have a hand guard was the musket (that I know of).

Almost never seen one with a handguard on top .

Winchester 1895 carbines had a thin wood handguard on top of the barrel with an opening cut in it for the rear sight. The thin wood cracked easily and many were discarded, but a correct 1895 carbine should have a handguard.
