ID this revolver
Looks like an old Smith, but I can't make out the emblem on the grip.
A gun recovered from a shooting in Queens, NY Friday.

Its a S&W Looks to be a Model 10 4" thin barrel maybe a
victory model nope wrong front sight. The grips look like Taurus grips and they don't fit.0 -

Appears to be a Smith Model 10. A lot of police departments issued that revolver, from way back.

well the barrel seems to be a legit S&W as to frt sight and the name impressed in it, most likely as others have said, a model 10 with original thin taper barrel . I know a model 10-5 could have a thin barrel and that front sight .

I can't get Taurus out of those letters even with magnification, but the letters I think I see make no sense.
