Good solution and what you describe is probably the best way to accomplish it for the least amount of cost. Running the cable to to other house from yours would have been more work whether underground or aerial and then would still require termination equipment on both ends. Good job Mr. P from one who actually did this work for a living at one point in my career. I did not comment on your original post since I felt you had it figured out and the choices you suggested you might do seemed appropriate and I didn't want to confuse you by questioning your logic.

You are already to late. I ran RJ-45 cable from house to shop many years ago. Putting the termination ends on the cable ain't easy for an old guy like me. Seeing and handling tiny wires was a real challenge. In fact it was worth my while to get a terminal tester.

Your way looks much easier than running the Ditch Witch, laying PVC, and pulling cable.

Not to mention drilling the concrete foundation for the conduit!

That might be just the ticket for our setup here, Randy, thanks for posting that!

Sorry I'm too late for you. @NeoBlackdog if I can help you with your setup let me know.

Just curious...........did you do this because of security or lack of service in your area?

How clear does the area that you're transmitting through need to be? We'd have about a 150 yard shot with a few trees (evergreens) in the way.

I think some limited obstruction will be ok, but if you have a few trees/obstructions, that might be problematic.
