True, but THIS ain't one 'em! What's wrong with setting up a $$ incentive system, to get peeps to wade out into The 'Glades, during the hottest and wettest time of the year, to round up all the NON-native destructive snakes... and make belts, holsters, and boots out of them!?? ๐Ÿ˜

Even if you don't live in FL, remember to vote for Ron "Heavy D" DeSantis this November... ๐Ÿ˜Ž

The rules are kill the python humanely. That means shoot the head or chop off the head. Body shots would be considered torture.

    some what related

I dont think it would be the same or happen but still a bit funny

I remember reading a long time ago the British, now this was some time back so my memory is a bit rusty but the story was something like this

the Brits were paying bounty's for cobra heads turned in to them in India

all of sudden they getting lots of business and snakes turned in

well come to find out people started cobra farms to make money off selling snake heads for the bounty once that was found out they stopped all payments

well of course the people just let the snakes go no reason to keep them so in the end the Brits caused more snakes to be released than ever captured

Tommy I meant that is freaky, and it is bizarre to have your state overrun with pythons. Plus Florida is also overrun with iguanas and parrots, all non native.

...Almost as big as the Diamondbacks we catch during the west Texas Sweetwater Rattlesnake Round up we have here each year in March๐Ÿ˜...starting in the spring until fall, about any cattle rancher will let you hunt on their land as long as you dont bring a gun...hand catch only...they lost some livestock in the past to stupid people...

'just give Florida 1 Wisconsin winter and problem solved!'...theyll just go deep and hibernate until it warms up, if they died off because of very low temps, there wouldnt be any in the mountain states...

I considered going down there and hunting them during the season. You can make some good money just catching them and turning them in.

Its better to take them alive but if you want to kill them you have to do it a special way to get the bounty on them.

That's the part I don't get. Ok why not year round and use steel shot with shotguns allowed. Take it to them to make any difference.

    That would do it.

All the videos I've seen show people catching the snakes alive. That's silly, and a good way to be bitten. It's going to die anyway, so just shoot it in the head with a shotgun.
