Branson MO and motorcycle rides
Going to be in Branson for a week in September.
Going by motorcycle. Is there good riding in the area? Anything special to see/ride?

That whole area is beautiful. I haven't been to Branson proper in 20 years so can't tell you about the town anymore. I likely wouldn't recognize it.
Depending on what direction you are coming from, a kinda neat dining experience can be had in Ozark Missouri between Branson and Springfield. Look up Lambert's - "Home of the throwed rolls".
If you are coming in from the west, you might ride through Oklahoma's Talimena Drive, though with the lack of rain, it might look kind of barren right now though. That leads right on into Arkansas and one can swing through Eureka Springs area. It is somewhat of a tourist trap, but really does have a neat feel to the town.
If you like fishing, there are a lot of natural springs with trout; some self-sustaining and some stocked. Roaring River is a ways from Branson, but again, beautiful drive.
I'll probably have some more ideas tomorrow but wanted to throw a few on here before I logged out for the day.
The original, now epic-sized Bass Pro Shop is in Springfield Missouri. While most BPS's have good animal displays and such, that location is steps above the other locations.

Glade Top Trail, Blue Buck Knob byway and sugar camp come to mind they are east of Branson it has been many years since I've been to them but we use to take the bikes to that area quite a bit when I lived in Mo.

It's been a long time but I think Sugar Camp is the one that goes thru Roaring River state park and takes you down to table rock lake which would be west of Branson

There use to be some nice roads for riding around pomme de Terre lake

We have had enough rain in the past week that everything is greening up again. Just drove to and from Rogers Arkansas over the last three days.
Picked up two of #2's boys for them to spend a few days on the farm. Also going to see the Cardinals vs. Yankees on Friday.
Drove through Eureka on the way there. It was a nice scenic drive. Be prepared for hills and curves and nutters pulling boats, pontoons or rvs. Sometimes they are pulling rvs and boats in tandem.

+1 on Lamberts, the last time I was there the food was awesome. Just don't fumble the catch, you will get boo'ed.

Ain't nothin at Branson I'm interested in seeing. Lots of places in MO with hills and timber. Been to that area several times for work meetings. Great place to meet 'wannabe' hillbillies.

I will be pulling a trailer behind a Goldwing and sightseeing so will fit in good with those slow pokes.

My sister-in-law and family just went there this past week and said it is just as good as ever so JasonV, I'd add it to your list. Just assume you'll have to wait at least a half-hour unless you go at off hour.
