My wife's uncle used to work the local check in station here in MO. He used to tell stories of someone from KC or STL showing up with a goat. Hey, it had antlers but it is only a 2 point !

About 25 years ago........I saw a "hunter" at the deer cleaners. He was up in Ga hunting from FL. He was SOOOOOO happy. Telling everyone that he killed his 1st WILD hog, actually killed two! He then backed up and dropped his tailgate and put two solid white US #1 hogs on the slab(about 300lbs each)! LMAO. The owner said, "get that #$@[ off my property, when the owner comes looking.....I don't wanna be envolved!"
I will NEVER forget that day.😁

I have zero patience for people that can't/won't correctly identify what they're shooting at.
Most of 'em oughta be flogged to within an inch of their life. Some of 'em just flat beat to death.

Sadly..........many hunters shoot at shapes or movement without verifying the target. That's why hunters get shot in the woods.

Did you see the story a few days ago about the lady who killed and had a rug made of a Husky dog she thought was a wolf?
The worst are "sound shooters". I used to say to my Hunter Ed students that there's likely to be a Russell in the bushes.

My cousin is a dairy farmer- and unfortunately, that is not a joke. How the HELL can anyone shoot a Holstein thinking its a deer?
2o years back watched an idiot get arrested at a game check station. Wanted to check his wild turkey. Yeah. Vulture.

I remember many years ago here in central Florida, a mounted Game Warden had his horse shot right out from under him.
Never could understand what the heck the shooter thought he saw.
