Electoral officials have gone door to door with portable ballot boxes from last Friday until yesterday. Polling stations will only open today, Tuesday, with officials citing security reasons.
In other news, Russia has again insisted it has a “right” to use nuclear weapons if its territory is threatened, and several suspicious leaks have hit the Nord Stream pipelines, with experts not ruling out sabotage.
European officials, meanwhile, are investigating unexplained leaks affecting both the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines that bring natural gas from Russia to Europe via the Baltic Sea.

The pipes were sabotaged, on purpose most likely by Russia itself. I do not care one bit. It is what happens when you rely on a dictator intent on returning to the days of the USSR for a vital energy supply. Let Europe freeze in the dark this winter. They demand GREEN, well let their corpses make the grass green in the spring..

Neither pipeline as reported are operational. Nord 2 is incomplete, and Nord 1 is shut down for repairs so what is really going on. I agree with Bpost, Europe made its bed, and they can lay in it.

Agree totally. Obiden came out and threatened Nord Stream 2 in a press conference IF Russia invaded Ukraine- which happened. The US made good on its threat, and now, NS 2 no longer exists.
It was a big cash cow for Russia, and it hits Putin in the pocketbook. Since it was going to supply Europe with cheap natural gas, it fits in big time with the green deal and the war on fossil fuels, at the same time fueling the proxy war the US is fighting with Russia.
What is ironic are the plumes of methane and NG leaking into the Baltic and the atmosphere are visible from space. Obiden goes on and on about climate change, and look at the mess he's created.

Yep. Looking like the FJB administration finally kept their promise on something.......to shut down the pipeline "by any means necessary" if Russia invaded Ukraine!
It happened SOON after a 3rd pipeline was connected to the European nation, making the Russian pipelines unneeded.

Unless it's a double reverse psyop by Putin, I seriously doubt he did it. His claim was "why nuke it when I can just shut it off?" It's hard to argue that one. But again, the Russians do play those psyop games, so who knows for sure. All I do know is that the current US admin said they would, and now it's been done.

it's on the Agenda for The new green deal. Putin would not play ball so The West just took out his money resources and the way I heard it if you curtail N,G. wells up there they locked up and it freezes permanently and is shut down without more drilling and expertise of western technology to do it right to get them running again, Yep Biden said he would do it too!
