Interesting choice, she has been on minivan duty for 12 years so time for a change. Her logic is she just drives around in circles with the kids, to school & sports.
Im a bit hesitant but its actually a pretty slick car.
Ranges is around 260 miles or so they claim.
Audi E-Tron with the “S-Line” package, which is the sporty bits. It is dual motor and AWD. It will scoot!

I wonder how fuel prices will be affected as electric vehicles become more prevalent. Those of us with gas guzzlers may be forced to electric because of exorbitant fuel prices.
This is what has soured me on the whole EV movement. The fact that our government puppet head has given a date which it needs to be done by, instead of being market driven. And, all of the artificial fuel cost manipulation across the board.

Savage I recommend the Tesla. Just wire up a 240 charging station in the garage and you will have it made. My brother loves his Tesla. We will run down to the gym this morning in the Tesla. Great car for short trips.

I've been accused here before of being pedantic, so here goes. Not that it matters but, ordinary household current is no longer 110/220 volts but is now 120/240.
Not pedantic enough. It's household voltage, not household current. Current is measured in amps not volts.

With the way the current admin is handling our energy supply, I am seriously considering a conversion to gasification.

You could, but why waste energy on the conversion?
Fun fact: gasification was used extensively, to power vehicles, during WWII as a consequence of the rationing of fossil fuels, particularly in Germany.

I hope so but have my doubts. I have been hearing since the mid 60's when I was in science class that fusion is just around the corner. Of course, 60 years of advancements have occurred since then so maybe it is coming soon, but I won't believe it until I see it. Didn't one of the big defense contractors, maybe Lockheed, announce they had a viable fusion reactor coming 5 or 10 years ago? Still waiting. Bob

I read a book about WW1 and the French were using gasification to power cars in 1917.
