MR serial number prefix means it was after Reminton acquired Marlin. The barrel should have a 2 digit stamping that will tell you the month and year it was made. Here is an article that has the chart for those codes;

The early Remlins, right after they took over the manufacturing of the Marlin guns were very hit and miss. It seemed that the employees weren't quite familiar with all of the machining of the wood to metal fit, and there were some guns that didn't come out quite so great. The good ones should bring close to what the sold for new, the ones that aren't so great will take a loss. Until Ruger makes some in 44, it's hard to tell what they might bring.
