Well.......they have to do something with the OLD milk cows that no longer produce! Steaks here(real steaks) are 27.99 on for ribeye. Black Angus, grass fed, and oh so tender! I had one of those 5.99lb Tbones a while back(SIL bought), so tuff you could barely cut it with a serrated knife.

I have one on the grill right now... should be done in about 10 min max. I cut them thick.... BTW.. I have purchased meat from them for 20 yrs and never had a tough steak.

Absolutely delicious and so tender you could cut with a fork. Trick is to cut the meat yourself instead of buying those family pack that are 1/2 or so thick. I cut mine 2-2.5" thick and cook on a 600 degree grill.. sear instantly.. for 5 min max a side... then bring them inside and let sit for 2-3 min. Juices are trapped inside.. not dry like a thin steak ... and bingo.. tenderness unbelievable.

Lots of them animals dying from the heat and the high heat on the skin helps tenderize the meat even on them old milk cows.
Horses can now be used as table meat. Watch wal mart. I seen something in their produce section few days ago that looked like horse hooves. (it was by the pig feet)

Cattle farmers are reducing herds by up to 50% because of feed costs and drought. Next year when there are no calf's born and few heifers to get more the prices are going to skyrocket. Just like gasoline. As soon as dementia Joe drains the strategic petroleum reserve the price of gas a diesel will climb far above what it was this spring.

Bought two Filet Mignon today to make kabobs, they were on sale @ $20 bucks a pound.
Pretty soon it will be cheaper to just eat the money.
