Unless you must have synthetic, I have purchased a few stocks from Richard's Microfit Gunstocks and love them. Many styles in either walnut or laminated. I reread you post and see you prefer laminated. Check their website.

Give them a call, they will help you out. Good folks, great stocks!!

Great off a bench, but be aware they are awkward to carry on a hunting rifle.

I buy all my thumbhole stocks from Stockys stocks, out of Fort Pierce, Florida. I actually went there on a trip to Key west. I love the quality and variety of the stocks they make. I think I have about 15 of their stocks. I like them better than Boyds, and they stand behind their work. I never had one problem with their stocks. Oakie

would a thumb-hole stock work better in hunting conditions with a left-hand bolt so you would not have to remove your right hand to load another shot ?
I know it is best to make the first shot kill
