are all scopes threaded the same for a sunshade?

example: will a vortex 44 mm sunshade also fit a bushnell 44 mm scope?

Not sure about the example you give, but as a general rule they are not interchangeable. There are some universal sun shades on the market but they are made to clamp on externally and don't use the objective housing threads. Bob

Call both Companies and ask their customer service if they can give you the thread pitch and an inside diameter of the scope obj. lens. Might be worth a try.

finally got through to Bushnell . i was told even their own models may not use the same sunshade. such as the Bushnell Trophy and their Nitro are threaded different , even though both are 44 mm

    Hey JWB

I have used construction paper and a rubber band when i couldn't find the shade i needed

I have got to agree with Okie on the no love for the newer Bushnell's
