    Hardest post I've made;

    Mark Christian Obituary (neptunesociety.com)

    His FB page confirms the obits. location and date of birth. I am so sorry.

    What? What happened? I haven't seen him for a bit on here and was wondering yesterday where he had been.

    Dammit, Mark, you'll be terribly missed...

    ...I have "known" him for a long time...I first signed up on GB in 98-99(?), during GB's first year...Mark was around a good many years too...a good guy gone when there is never enough...R.I.P. Mark, you'll be missed...

    Oh....well, thanks for letting us know. It hurts. I don't recall him talking about any health issues so this one came right out of the blue.

    Oh no. Terrible news and one of 3-4 members that I've met in person. I met Mark 20 or so years ago at the Shot Show in Vegas and we message each other fairly often. Great guy. R.I.P. my friend.

    Sad news. It'll never be the same around here. We traveled the world vicariously through his many vacation pictorials.

    Go with God, Mark.

    I guess that explains his absence.

    Sad to hear the news.😔

    I will surely hold on to his "once" Garand.

    Thanks for posting @montanajoe. I’ll miss his contributions on the forums and in our private conversations. Saddened I never made good on his offer to visit Fl, share a glass, and toast life. Godspeed my friend.

    Never met him but have several e-mails back & forth from him, all very nice ones 😊, he seemed to be a very good, honest and fair man. I'm sure we'll all regret his untimely passing. God be with you Mark. JB

    Going to miss him, I considered him as a friend.

    He was a wealth of firearms information and a no BS person as all the former members that are located on the" island of misfits" can attest.

    Very sorry to hear this. Mark was one of only a few members I’ve actually ever been able to talk to in person outside of the forums. Back in the winter, he helped me navigate a deal on a rare antique rifle, and spent a good amount of time talking me through the details of what to look for and so forth. Didn’t expect anything….. just a helpful gentleman. And on top of it all, he sent me some matching parts to complete the package.

    Nice folks are in rare supply these days. He will be missed.
