Credit Card companies are now assisting to track gun & ammo sales
Looks like the CC companies have finally caved to the liberal pressure and will be coding all firearm & ammunition sales so they can be traced.
Guns bought through credit cards in the US will now be trackable (msn.com)

Yepp... I posted that over in the politics forum earlier. Still haven't found any explanation of how it will prevent mass shootings like the pundits are claiming. Maybe make it a tad easier to trace purchases after the fact, but what good does that do? Private sales will not be recorded and ffl firearm sales are already traceable. If large quantities of ammo purchased sets off an alarm, what is a large quantity? I have 10,000 rds (40 flats) of 12 GA sitting on a pallet in my garage for the high school skeet team and an upcoming charity shoot. Next year I will probably buy the same and will be sure to use my Visa. Hopefully I will cause the ammo cops to waste a lot of time. This is just another useless attempt to make the gun grabbers feel good. Bob

I tried to purchase a Money Order from USPS with a credit card couple of years ago and they would not take it. Don't know if USPS will take a debit card. ---------------Ray

CC is my preferred way to shop on-line. I dont plan to make any changes.
One last note: PayPal proscribes purchases for guns, ammo, & their components and has been doing so for years, yet sellers use their service quite regularly here on GB & other sites. The term "Discrete PayPal" is seen often.

It will if you can choose debit as an option where you have to input your PIN. Some actual CC's do that, and all bank credit/debit cards that we've ever tried work.

I've been in I.T. for ~28 years and while there's certainly some merit to crypto, its entire model is too easy to scam from start to finish. The market as a whole is too volatile. Combine that with the fact that as of yet, it's only barely starting to scratch the surface of "the real world" while being used a lot in the dark web transactions. It has been the main conduit for crypto-locker virus and other encryption blackmail. I manage the firewalls for our US locations and it is unbelievable the amount of hack attempts they block per second.

Seen that coming. Being that I'm in California this makes no difference. They long banned mail order ammo purchase. I reckon they'll post your gun purchases next. Oh wait California already does that.

Looks like a last ditch attempt for them for a while so they're going big. They're making gun/parts companies to turn over customer info to the government. atf making laws and fining folks for each arm "brace" for $250K.

Take a look at ESG............it is basically the same system of social scoring that communist China uses.
In China, if you don't mold yourself into the "party line"..........if you don't fit within the criteria determined by the government...................your banking "privileges" are cut off, your travel "privileges" are cut off. YOU ARE CUT OFF from normal operation in society due to not meeting the standards that the govt. mandates.

a couple that are working there way up to the supreme court challenges the BATF to stretching and adding as they see fit to existing laws and making what was legal yesterday illegal today if they hold true on the what the layweres and the latest ruling the entire BATF department on guns is unconstitutional and stands a slight chance of being declared so
the good guy seem to think the BATF is going to get smacked big time when the SCOTUS finally get a shot at them as they have not had a case make it that far up
I just seen a gun pod cast about how messed up the BATF is going after Texas over suppressors big time over Texas law on build and stay in Texas none of the BATF rules apply also saying the 2nd amendment and latest ruling from the SCOTUS does not effect them they ( BATF ) do not consider them firearms ,, ( but wait what ? ) flip side they say when convenient for them they are firearms and controlled by there agency double talk and total BS
