This is just how air travel is today. Not sure how anyone could assign blame to a single politician.

Delays & cancellations terrible this holiday weekend. I'm sure mayor pete is on top (or perhaps under) it.

You a bad man, Jeff. I luv you.😉

Back in June we had a very poor experience flying home from Montana. We got rerouted to Atlanta and ended up having to spend the night there, yes the airline gave us meal vouchers and a hotel room and money for our troubles, but I would have rather just gotten home as originally scheduled. The flip side, last Friday I flew to Central Florida via Washington DC. both flights were on time with no issues whatsoever.

Your not the first one to call me that, slinger.

Not much of a flyer anymore but the last time I did back in 2011, I had flashbacks of a long Greyhound Bus trip I took in '72! 😲

True Warbirds, it's not so much a single person but more a single secretary of transportation (no mater who it is). That secretary should be on top of all our transportation needs. Air travel is just one. I'm unclear on what that secretary as well as other secretaries and czars do everyday while at work.

i thought Petey took another six month leave of absence? After all family first. I think he has been "home" 12 months out of the total since Joey took over.

For once, this is not the politicians' fault.

During the Covid epidemic, most folks stopped flying. So, the airlines moth-balled a lot of planes & encouraged pilots to retire. Now that business has suddenly picked up, most airlines can't hire enough experienced crew members to cover what used to be "normal" schedules. And, they are scheduling flights even when they don't have a crew available, which forces them to cancel with little notice. Their biggest problem is staffing "regional" jets, as most pay low wages to the pilots.

"For once, this is not the politicians' fault."

I beg to differ, who was it that over-reacted and shut the whole world down????

EXCEPT Sweden, they went about business without spending TRILLIONS of wasted money that made thousands of people multi millionaires.

I'm sure that Petey watched the movie airplane...He was probably hoping that he could blow up the co-pilot like Elaine did.
