Hello, thought I might check it out here. I'm curious about a couple things that I'm not sure where to post the question about it. Is it ok here to DM a mod and ask about something that I'm not sure about even after reading the posting guidelines?

Hello. I too have been on Gunbroker for awhile and just realized there's a forum. Can anyone help me with a serious problem I'm having?

@Mike208 welcome to the forums, can't say whether anyone can help or not, depends upon the problem... Post it in the general discussion and find out.

Been on Broker for several years . Shoot a lot of Trap&Skeet . Hunting days are pretty much over . Do all my own reloading for everthing . Very fun and extreamly expensive hobby . Just thought i'd be nosey and look in . Have a great day off to the Skeet range .

Welcome, Ace! Lottsa trap and skeeters around here. You'll find somebody to talk to. If you have any tall tales or know anything about drillin' holes smaller we're all ears when it comes to those kind of things.

Hi All - I have done a moderate amount of selling, and waaaay more buying. GB is an excellent platform and has facilitated separating me from my hard-earned money more than I ever planned. The only possible "tip" I might have is for Buy-Now buyers - use that Contact Seller feature, asking price is often negotiable.

I guess I should introduce myself, huh? Hi! I go by "Dracon" online. The prefix "Not" in my handle came about as a way to try and differentiate my handle from the millions of others who also chose Dracon as their IDs. The monster girl I use as my icon is a sort of mascot for me, one I've been using as a sort of "online persona" for about… 15 years now? Wow. She's etched onto the mags for my PCC, if that gives you an idea of how much she means to me.

Anyway, I might not last long here, to be honest. Those who've had the apparent displeasure of getting to know my personal opinions here have… well, let's not mince words here. I seem to believe in the total opposite of whatever the dominant zeitgeist is in these forums. But! I'm nothing if not tenacious, sometimes against my better judgement. I'm gonna ride this out until I tire of trying to fit in here, or get banned. Either or.

I've been into guns for a good while but only became an owner of them a little more than a year ago and have dived deeper since. I don't work anything related to guns right now but I'm a mechanical engineering graduate that's been toying with the idea of gunsmithing and has a fair amount of practical experience in the realm of tinkering.

Greetings, all. Been buying from GB for a bit, but like many (it seems) I only just noticed the forums. Had a question about Safari Arms, so here I am…😎

And as for the icebreaker question on the first page of this thread: .45 ACP and neither Glock nor 1911. I'm a Third Gen Smith & Wesson convert (4506-1, 4516, CS45).

    Well, . . .

I'm not a noob.  Or an FNG.   I've been a member for decades, but my profile indicates that I joined in Oct 2024.

I don't visit this forum much anymore, but it's still in my favorites, and I pop in from time to time.

Gone are the days of the racist lawyer, Earl.   Remote girl is no where to be found.

I see Nunn and Locust Fork are still here.   I've still got a duct tape hat her daughter made.  It's too small for my big head.

I see other familiar names as well.

I'm not sure I like the new format, and everything seems a bit messed up.

The political fora used to be very active, and sometimes I was afraid to even open it the posts were so controversial.

Well, I'm getting ready to spent three weeks in the desert without any interwebs.   Perhaps I'll remember to check back in upon my return.

This is my first time on Gunbroker. I am looking for some assistance in purchasing a gun here. I read the tutorials, and they keep referring to the seller.  I assume they mean the actual person who owns the firearm.  Am I wrong, and is this a used firearm.

Greetings All. Formally introducing myself as that random everyday average Joe shops on GB every now and then. This time I have a question that I will post in the General channel, but saw the introduce yourself section and figured I would follow best practice by doing so :-).

I guess you could consider me new now - but I was a frequent follower here many years ago.  I took a break from the keyboard but decided to give it a go again.  I will be around from time to time.  Thanks - Pistol Pete
