LOVED going to the one in NY State. (Sterling Forest.) Better than a Victoria Secret Lingerie Catalog.

Busties, (SP?) out the Bazingas. Very nice. My Son And I went there for about 6-9 years after I got divorced. (We went there 6-8 years before that.)

    LOVE Renaissaince Festivals. πŸ€”πŸ˜‰πŸ˜

Medeival Cleavage? Yeah, I'm into that. πŸ‘

We were out on a motorcycle ride in Greenbrier County, WV. Saw a sign that said "Renaissance Fair". Thought " what the heck".

We really enjoyed it. The had jousting, axe throwing, everything. Everyone was friendly and were really into their characters.

The best character was a guy on stilts made up like a tree. Like the trees in Wizard of Oz.

They even had chickens, pigs, and goats roaming around.

The costumes were first class ( especially the damsels) πŸ˜ƒ

I seem to recall many years ago many US citizens' would build a house and buy land in Mexico . with all the cartels and gangs I would be fearful of moving there any more

    but congrats to her

the cost difference was like a 1/3 a 300 k would be like a 100k or something like that

when she gets settled in how about sharing some photos

Been there for the last four years. Absolutely love it. I pull the camper down on the Thursday of the weekend that we go. Relax on Friday and then do the fair on Saturday and Sunday. Head back home Monday morning.

It is huge and you really can't do it all in one day. Make sure you get to the jousting arena well before dark if you want seats for the fire show and fireworks. The fire show is amazing.

Don't buy the first thing you see when you walk in the gates. Stroll around. Food and drink from around the world and vendors with leather goods, soaps, ceramic beer mugs and wine goblets, bladed items of every shape and size. Get a map when you enter so you can make sure to see the shows in which you are most interested.

I looked it up and yes, Americans can buy land in Mexico. I am pretty sure that, a while back, Gringos could not buy land down there, but they had to get a 99 year lease.

Oh yes.....they can......and.........she is only half Gringo anyway. She has spent about half of her life in Colombia and Mexico.

Just got back and had a great time........did both days and the Sat fireworks show was excellent. Only complaint is how expensive EVERYTHING is.

Will try and post a pic or two tomorrow.
