Who wants a pig? It's a potbelly and it's really big for a potbelly.
It's a neutered male, technically a barrow, so it should be good to eat.
Not at all friendly, and he's never liked me, even when he was little. He has rushed me a few times, but he's so fat, he can't run.
I need it gone. FREE

...Get the word out and you know someone around here will snatch it in a heart beat...ham, pork ribs...put a bunch in the freezer...processing would be a lot cheaper than store bought...luck David...

I'd be on that like White on Rice, If I was close enough. You should have no problems turning that "aggressive pig," in to Pork.
Local ad in the paper would do it, pretty darn quick.

Anyways, it's a good reason to buy a Cajun Microwave or La Caja China (if you're from Florida) for a pig roast.

A live pig not only saves energy for refrigeration, it also saves the ole back in transport!
This reminds me of an old Billy Goat I once owned. He sure was cute as a kid but quickly grew into a very stinky, oversized troublesome PITA!
I put a sign out in the window of my Greenhouse office advertising "FREE GOAT" during the busy Spring plant selling season. Within just a few hours this old station wagon pulls in. A kind of (hard to say nicely) scraggy looking fella with his 4 kids approaches me about my goat.
I will never forget seeing the chit eating grin on that guys face as he was backing his car out of my driveway. Kids crammed in the back, sharing space with that smelly ole goat!! 😁

Send him to a no kill shelter. It is not your animal but you will get credit for putting it down. You can take the high road and transfer your problem to a no kill shelter. While they are busy dealing with the pig they will have less time to cause trouble for others.

Ok, I gotta ask.....Are pot belly pigs even good to eat? I've had lots of pork, store bought, and my favorite is wild sow, BUT I've never seen anyone process a pot belly pig. Do they have good meat? Just curious.

I don't know, but I've heard their meat is very good. Main reason I can think of for not processing more of them is their size.

Yes you can eat them and in some counties it is preferred over the typical feed pigs we have in the USA. They are fattier and don't get as large, but are said to be very good. To me, it just is not done as much in this country since people treat them like pets.

I tried and tried to give the pig away, mostly with posts on Facebook. Lots of questions, but no takers.
So, I put a new ad on Facebook, offering $100 cash to whomever would remove the pig and not bring him back. That did the trick. I had two groups racing to get here, because I stated the first to remove the pig would be paid.
One group of three young men showed up with a stock trailer. I quickly called the other party and told him the pig was spoken for. The pig did not want to be moved, but the fellas moved it, over his loud protests.
We had to lift the pig onto the floor of the trailer, so each of us grabbed a foot. This thing was HEAVY. I asked the leader of the bunch to estimate the pig's weight. He said he believed the pig weighed around 380 pounds! Wow!
Anyhow, the darn thing is gone and I'm glad of it.
BTW, the guys who took him said they plan to keep him as pet and maybe eat him in a year or so. Pet or food, either way is fine with me. He's gone!

Heck you would have only had to pay Ricci and I $50 to come get him in Ricci's van. (As someone here had proposed.) It woulda been like Thelma and Louise. Ricci would be Thelma, I'm more of a Louise.
Kinda like that classic road trip on Dumb and Dumber. (Except in this road trip, Ricci is both.) 🤔😉😂
Was the pig capable of driving? You know to spell Ricci. I've got this thing about driving Mini-Vans. (Sorry Yosh.)

Here I thought you did that the other way. Had a friend north of Des Moines who had a stove he sat out along the road with a sign which read 'FREE'. No takers. After a while he took that sign down and put up another that said '$100 CASH' and the first night somebody stole it.
