Due to COVID, the USPS has decided to reinstate the Pony Express. Unfortunately, they are using the original ponies.

Anyone remember the days before "Tracking" was invented? The P.O., along with all of the shipping companies got away with scoring in the wrong end zone!

I would send in all of the required box tops to get a free Tony Tiger cereal bowl. By the time it arrived I was into chasing girls and faster bicycles, so the bowl lost all of its meaning. The cat did enjoy it though.

    'Send CERTIFIED with tracking number.'

I've been 'out of the loop' (retired from USPS) for several years but back then, certified did not generate a 'tracking profile' and was intermingled with normal first class mail. So the question is: Did you send the piece certified or something else?

Just a hint: anytime you add a requirement for a mailpiece to be scanned or otherwise individually handled quite often this slows the delivery time.

The USPS is all over the place with mail delivery. We use Priority mail a lot for our business. If we send an envelope across the state it will take a week.

Across the country and it gets there in two days.

USPS, priority is the way to go.

Sometimes their tracking efforts are lacking.

Send the information on day sent to seller and also day sent and day received to senator and congress person. If enough people do this then USPS will change for the better.

PS Registered mail is more expensive but has a assigned person responsible for it each step of the way. If a USPS employee messes up they get caught and will suffer for it.
