Beef with Broccoli-
Have about 1- 1 1/2 lbs, Steak Trimmings. (I work in the Meat Dept.) of a Major Grocery Chain. Cut/trimmed 2 NY Strip loins, 2 Ribeye Loins and a Filet Mignon loin yesterday. Trimmings that would normally end up in the garbage, came home with me. (Still very lean no fat cuts/pieces.)
Bought a large Broccoli Crown.
Saute' the Steak trimmings, (in EVOO,) add 2-3 very fine diced dried Garlic cloves, a fine diced onion. Badia Sazon' Tropical seasoning. Lightly steam the Broccoli crown, (after seperating to smaller branches/pieces.) add to Sautee'd Beef. Add P. F. Chang's Beef and Broccoli sauce pack. A can of sliced Water Chestnuts, Add about 3-4 Tablespoons of P.F Chang's Gochujang Korean Style Hot Sause, (4 out of 5 Heat/Spicy level) Bring to a simmer. (If you have some fresh mushrooms, those cut up and added, are a plus.)
Might have some of those before cooking, my next door neighbor/buddy has ties to PA's Mushroom Capital, he just returned from a visit and left a message on my machine to hook up for copious fresh mushrooms. (Shitake, Button and Portabella.)
Seperate pot of a Family "Boil in the bag," Rice. Boiling about 11 minutes. (You want the Rice and the Broccoli al dente'. (Somewhat firm, not soft.)
Salt/pepper to taste. Kikkoman fermented Soy Sauce added as desired.
That will be today's fare. (Early evening.)

Sounds good. Would you post your address so a few of us can drive over and sample your cooking?

Leave out the hot sauce.. I am all in

My buddy came home earlier, we were just out and about looking at a disputed property line, that effects us both, on his UTV.
Got about 4-5 lbs Portabella's and about 2-3 pounds brown button mushrooms. 1/2-3/4 lb button mushrooms, will be added in to the above recipe.
As far as the Gochujang hot sauce, gotta have the Heat. π€πππ
*cbxjeff, you'd be Welcomed Brother.

I thought Ken was back, but the recipe does not appear to include EVOO.
Who is this guy?

Too funny Don, (π€ππ) I forgot to add, I sautee'd the Beef bits in EVOO.
Would you have expected any less? π€
A must have for cooking. ππ

I forgot to mention, I am letting the Steak/Beef cuts somewhat, marinate in Kikkoman Soy Sauce, the Garlic and diced freshonion mix, w/Badia Sazon' Tropical spice and EVOO. (Just for you Don.)
Fine sliced Button mushrooms (alas, no Shitakes) and Broccoli to be added in, as I cook it.

Darn it, quit posting this or you're going to have a crowd there.

He would be easy to find, go to his work place and follow the meat scrap trail.
One could gain a lot of weight just following his posts.
You'd think 84 would be as big around as a barrel but far from it.

Ahhh, beef and brocori.

6'1", about 195-200lbs. Ed/Buthchdog.
Not too bad a shape for a guy 61 years old. Commented the other day at work, "I'm retiring in about 10 mo. @62 years of age." She was like "No Way, your 60'ish? No Way."
Yep. π

I'm Beef w/ Broccoli bloated.

I like Lima Beans but the other stuff is good for the garbage can!

We have a PF Changs restaurant very close to our home and their beef and broccoli is delicious

I have never seen/been in a P.F. Chang's restaurant. We do sell their prepared meals @ work though. They are a regular lunch/dinner meal for me @ work. Good stuff. π
I regulary buy their Cooking Sauces and Salad dressings. Good Stuff. I scavenge our "Closeout" area regularly. I bought about 3 packs of the Beef and Broccoli sauce pack for about $1ea. (Messed up packaging.) Bought some Sesame, Vinaigrette, and Spicy Ranch dressing that I spotted on Closeout also. (Same reason, messed up packaging. $2.30 ea.) That would have made them around $5 ea. Regular price.
I have been hitting the Closeout section pretty much every day or so for about 1 1/2 years, (since I started there.) Dented cans get sold @ "Cost." I am all over them and have quite the stash going. (A'hem) A lot of milk crates seperated by what it is, in my SHTF room. (Spilling over in to the Kitchen.) π

My sentiments exactly!

I love all 4 of the above mentioned vegetables. (Now.) π
I honestly can not think of a vegetable, I do not like. And to think, all those hours as a young tyke spent at the table. ("Your not leaving the table until you eat that.) Gag, retch, etc.
Even the little Weiner dog's, wouldn't eat the stuff, when surreptitiously slipped it under the table. (And they'd eat about anything.) Little Rat Bassturds. ππ¬
Liver is about the only thing I can think of that I really do not care for. (Of course my Mom would make it about once a month.) Gag, retch, etc. ("Your not leaving the table until you eat that.") π©π’
(But) God Bless them little dogs, they'd eat Liver. π

I'm very thankful that advertisers came up with the idea that V-8 juice contained a full days supply of vegetables!! I just happen to like V-8 juice! π

Had some meat loaf and a side of broccoli and cauliflower for lunch. Talk about hot airπ².
First PF Chang's I ever seen was in Tulsa, big gun show there ya'll know.
Delicious, only other ones I have ate at are in Asheville, and Greensboro.
Seems like I read somewhere they try to keep a certain distance apart.

Liver is just fine as long as its cut thin ,cooked with lots of onions and cooked really well done

I think there are about 200 locations in America. The one located here in Louisville opened maybe 15 years ago. They do a really good job and the food there is great

I agree redhawk480. (Liver) "Thin sliced, cooked with onion and well done." That is the only way I can eat it. Still not a personal preference. π€ππ©
As far as P.F. Chang's goes, I know they make about the best fast food type frozen meal out there. Regularly eat it for a work meal. (Work in a grocery store. Pretty much unlimited choices.)

Liver is for dog food, no reflection on Buddy, or catfish bait
How is the ole "Buddy" doing?

Buddy is doing Great Ed/Butchdog. π My once in a lifetime dog. I am blessed to have adopted him. I regularly thank God, for bringing us together. He has won over a multitude of people who were deathly afraid of Pit Bulls. When out in public, people can't help but come over and ask if they can pet him. (He draws a crowd.) He loves the attention.
Show up unannounced at the house? Different dog. (Which is good.) Once I tell him "Their Okay," he instantly goes to "Pet Me" mode. Until then, I'd recommend not getting close. 90lbs of coiled muscle.
He is spoiled rotten, has me wrapped around his paw. I should have life so good. Great Dog. π

They are man's best friend for reason.

I supplement my dogs kibble with boiled in water chicken livers acquired in frozen buckets at the grocery store for 2 bucks a pound. Both dogs just love the stuff!! I also try not to feed the same stuff every day. So add cooked chicken meat or canned tuna into the mix as well. Spoiled K-9's here for sure!
As for beef liver, I enjoy only calves liver about 2 to 3 times a year. Thin sliced, sautΓ©ed in butter and sweet thin sliced onions. Admit that if it weren't for ketchup.......I'd probably pass! π
