I have a cople of them in my brake tool drawer I have picked up over the years . but seldom ever use them . I still just use a screwdriver or pliers 98% of the time

Well you guys seem to have great knowledge about brake tools. My guess was going to be a hemorrhoid picker/removal/tool thingie.

Fellow that invented that tool started with a screw driver and pair of pliers.

I came across old break tools about a year ago cleaning out stuff. Old hammers (one with a replaceable lead head!), Red Wing axes and tools I have no idea what they were used for🙄

Along the lines of changing brakes ,
I remember as a young kid my dad had a car with disc brakes on the front . first one him or the neighbors had with with disc brakes . it was a discussion for a day or two among the neighbors and relatives. no one had ever changed a set before and were taking about how bad it might be . and how to to it was a big part of it I remember it because it was a big deal to the grownups and such events stick with us .
any way I remember several of the men folk all huddled around the front of the car and then the out come of thats it , that was easy ..

I have a tool box full of stuff thst most youngsters would look.at and say what the heck ? Ridge reamers , hand held suction cup valve grinder , pilot bearing removal tool etc . Stuff no one uses except us old facts restoring old stuff .
