Happy Trails Ranger Trivette. Clarence Gilyard, 'Die Hard' and 'Matlock' actor, dies at 66
I first saw him in Matlock when they filmed here in N.C. I have a friend who trained with Chuck Norris and appeared on the Walker Texas Ranger show. He told me Clarence Gilyard was a sweet guy. He was in Top Gun as well.

Maverick sang the first verse of "You've Lost That Loving Feeling," then he sat down to hit on the hot chick. Gilyard stepped in and sang the rest of the song. Great scene.

A good actor, very versatile. And, if you keep your eyes open, he was in lots of movies & tv.
He was the vault guy in Die Hard.
