Can I have Ice cream instead? A warm piece of apple pie with a scoop of premium vanilla on top sure hits the spot! Bob

you will end up with whip cream all over your pie holeπ

So Joe, are you calling COOL WHIP whipped cream??
Asking for a friend. π

Pie only.
Whipped cream is just used to cover a bad taste, just like ruining a good steak with stake sauce.
2 cents includedπ

HECK YEAH....whipped cream!!!
When I was a kid.....and maybe last week......you'd be hard pressed to even SEE the plate my chocolate pie was sitting on.
On the way back to the fridge.......the can's nozzle would somehow get pressed against my upper teeth. π

I can't remember ever having pie with whipped cream on it. If the pie is good, it doesn't need to be hidden under anything, including ice cream.

Well yeah, another slice requires another tub of cool whip.

No doubt I'll load up a piece of pumpkin pie with whipped cream, to the point of looking ridiculous, because reasons, but pecan pie stays virgin. Pecan pie is love. Pecan pie is life.

If you had had my Mom, you would have no need for whipped cream. Being Czech, she could BAKE. Her blueberry pie was the apex of deliciousityness - and you ate the filling mostly to get to the crust, which was golden, buttery, flaky nirvana.
