Fortunately, that looks like a break barrel airgun so she won't get poked to hard. Of course she won't learn and will try the same thing with hubby's 300 OMG magnum. Not sure one patch will cover that damage. Bob

Doesn't look to me like she is actually trying to fire it but rather just looking through the scope at something ...... maybe

Nope, just a bloody half moon, not deep enough for stitches.

Talked to a mother & daughter at church last Sunday. Mom showed me a picture of the daughter, Molly, and her deer. Molly is about 14. It is a nice buck but the .30/06 broke her glasses in half and gave her a pretty good knot on her forehead. A learning experience for sure!

If it doesn't kill them, they will NEVER forget it that's for sure.

Jane Kilcher from Alaska the last frontier gave herself a dark eye on the TV show. It is on youtube.

Funny how the places you decide to "hang out" in can either make you an internet criminal or a forum HERO, by posting the exact same thing! 😲

I really can't stand Facebook... So it wouldn't be any loss to me.

A couple of times when working in the gun store, I had new shooters wiggle all the way up until their eye was right on the scope. I'm sure they thought a scope is like binos or a telescope. Naturally, they couldn't see a thing that way, and I usually taught them why there is eye relief on rifle scopes by giving the muzzle a light whack with my hand. Lesson learned, every time.

I've never been scope bit but have had my right thumb in the right position to knock myself in the nose a couple of times. 😉😁

Sometime ago there was a video out reflecting many range "accidents", most were funny but many were serious injuries.
