I didn't even know I had carpal tunnel issues until I rebuilt a good portion of the deck on the back of my daughters house this summer. Pounding nails for days put my wrist over the top. Jackhammering a concrete walk and tearing down a retaining wall with a sledgehammer probably did not help matters.

Mr. P, Grandpa made me the bent nail extractor when I was a youngster. Closest nail keg at the General Store was about four miles away and it was quicker to re-condition those bent nails. The deep driven ones i got out with a cats paw. Then Grandpa sit me down next to a big flat rock and i rolled those bent nails and pounded them straight again. I miss Grandpa.-------------Ray
I've done that before too. I have a good cats paw, just wasn't using it. These nails weren't that deep or anything. Just a bad handle. The replacement is doing well.

I see they shaved an ounce off the new one for you. That is customer service. I guess both our 9 pound hammer days are over. I still have one though.
