Couldn't go was only in the 8th grade. However the hot girl down the road went ... she even had a 67 Camaro.. She wanted my sister to go with her..same age.. Dad wouldn't let her.

I was 12 yrs old
I would have liked to have been there but that is just wishing my self to be even older 😲
I have read 400K + showed up plan was about 50k over time what i have heard two people died one OD and one was ran over by a tractor while sleeping and was not seen also two kids were born there .
I bet many more were conceived though

I have read 400K + showed up plan was about 50k over time what i have heard two people died one OD and one was ran over by a tractor while sleeping and was not seen also two kids were born there .

some what time related and a sadder story I worked with a fellow who was a national guard he was posted at Ohio State University when the kids were killed . he was not close to the shooting but it haunted him .

I have seen reports a local pond was used for skinny dipping and swimming I am sure as a quick bath at least I hope so

I was a 13 year old hippie wannabe back in '69 and didn't make it to Woodstock. I did however actually see the premier of the movie in '70 at our local movie theater. What I remember most about those times are all the fights I had with my WWII Navy Vet father (who was also a shipboard barber) about NOT wanting my hair cut!!! 😁
What I would give today to have him give me that "Princeton" I fought against back then!! Be nice to have some of that hair back on my forehead too! 🙂

When I turned 13 I also just let it grow I did not get a hair cut until I was 21
It drove my dad nuts and caused the only close to fight i ever had with him
The girls loved it that over rode all the coments from the older generation men calling me sissy and hippy .
But old dad pulled a slick one when I was about 21 he told me a old boss of his could help me get a job as a union construction worker at 4 almost 5x what I making at my old job
But told me the boss was a old fellow and no way would he hire a long haired guy
So I had it cut to just below my ears .i felt naked with my hair so short
the 1st day I met the fellow he said if your going to work for me you will need a hair cut WTH
Ah you should have seen me two days ago
I worked with him off and on 13 yrs
He did tell me much later it was a set up to get me to cut my hair .
I miss my dad but that was the top prank he ever did to me and the old boss also may both RIP

I was there. yes, I'm old....I was in the Army in Georgia and heard about the festival. took 30 day leave and stuck my thumb out. tickets for the 3 days were $18. I didn't have it and took my chances, the fences were down by the time we got there. best three days of my life.

I look at that picture and my first thought is it looks like 20 to 1 guys versus girls. I've always heard about all the wild, drug induced sex at Woodstock. Drugs I can buy but with a serious shortage of women and zero privacy I'm guessing the wild sex was the drug induced male fantasies of non-existent wild sex!! 😁
