It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
16 degrees and a light snow coming down.
Cows and horses are fed, chickens are fed and layin' cackle berries.
The Kitchen Queen (woodstove! not my wife) has a nice cheery fire going and I have a nice hot cup of coffee in hand.

We have 30 mph wind with gusting far exceeding that with sleet and snow then to add to that, the wind is coming several degrees from normal, so I have several tarps on my hay stacks blown from hell to breakfast.
I know what I get to do when the wind lies down.

Just right, Neo!

Beautiful scene! We're swatting mosquitos and wearing tee shirts. Gun deer season opens this Saturday, after a cold front on Friday gives us low temps in the middle 30s.

We got about 5" of fresh fluffy snow yesterday and the thermometer is showing me a goose egg. Yup, zero.
Mr. Mule, I hope you get your tarp sitchyation squared away. Been there, done that, didn't have any fun. If we were closer I'd come give you a hand.

Inch or 2 yesterday, and woke to 8 more inches dumped overnight. Still coming down.

Well, it's a Mr. Steve's message.

yes its pretty by all accounts, a brisk clean winter morning or day is nice its its own way like a new page has been turned
but as I have gotten older I had rather have it delayed around here as long as possible ( not being a old grouchy fellow no matter what my wife says π ) it just reminds me of the shoveling, and plowing snow πnot to mention the $$ to heat the house . π²
spring and fall are my top picks at least here in Ohio
