What a red flag that times are getting bad.

I'm guessing that others will be working overnight to stock shelves & put up signs for LBGTQ Friday.

I am actually glad to hear that. It is the right Corporate choice for people in retail to get holidays off.

I really like Wal-Mart, shop there all the time, prices on food are lower than many other supermarkets. I just got my turkey there at $1.18 a pound and I found a 20 pounder. They haven't had frozen turkeys all year now they come in. I'm glad to see workers get an unpaid day off, instead of overtime on a holiday. The only thing there that irks me is those roving blue carts that employee's roll around picking food off the shelves, way too many and they get in the way and are just too big. I can't imagine having someone pick my groceries for me.

They (Wal-Mart) killed main street American businesses, main street was kinda like the TV show "Cheers".......where everyone knew your name, no one at Wal-Mart gives a chit what your name is or what you need.

@thorhammer I really miss working on holidays. I would work for others, get the Over Time Pay AND they would happily work 2 days for me as payback so they could be with their family. America is a great place! 😁

I agree as to people should have at least the chance to work or not and be ask not told to work on any Holiday but now days with so many different beliefs the old holidays have zero meaning to a lot of people . and some even hate there celebrated

and now sadly a lot of holidays are called raciest

@Ditch-Runner you reminded me about my first regular job. The Jewish gift shop owner hired me so that I could work on their holidays to keep the store open. No problem 😀.
