I am most assuredly not a pro photographer; however, I use the cheapest Iphone (SE I think) that I bought a year or so ago and I am happy with it. It does all I need with my guns. From Amazon I bought a XENVO 15x Macro lens that simply clips on to the phone if I need a close detailed photo. I think that was $40.00.

I am happy with them right now. Kasey has a very professional set up I think but she has that adult video thing going on too.

Truth be told I wish my DSLR had the dynamic range some of the new phones have.

    And 'for I forget.

Yup!! It takes some understanding to become an operator of those systems with all the numbers! I had a good buddy who bought a new expensive camera with all the bells and whistles. He ended up taking a college coarse just to become proficient with his camera. He learned well and became quite a photographer!

my oldest son not a professional but has had a few photos used in magazines I think he told me 12k or so for his camera set up . but its part of his hobby / business as a side line

I know ups lost a lense a year or so ago that was around 1k on sale , they did replace it though will a little effort

my DIL also a armature photographer as a side job she does graduation and wedding photos mostly

as for me I was never very good but I have a couple canon AE_1 and AE1 program cameras from years ago when my ex BIL and I got into as another hobby .

my oldest son bought me a digital canon camera last Christmas with a couple lenses but sadly I have not even figured out or used it enough to know what all the different modes and settings are 😲

but now as posted , todays cell phones some are even specialized to take better photos.

I find it really amazing what a cell phone camera is capable of .

I decided to buy a "good" camera in early 1980......shortly before my daughter was born. It was a Canon A-1(still have it, with extra lenses and drive). As a result, I now have a picture of her, each week, until she was 1 year old........and then once each month, until she was 5 years old. Four years later.......did the same for my son.

We've never actually arranged them all.........something to get done......🤔

Years ago, I went with Minolta. Great cameras, but they didn't capture enough of the market, and no longer exist. Now I got Nikon. And Samsung.
