    Blow back so it's going to get dirty. I have a Colt AR15 in 9mm and used to keep one as a rental gun at the range.

    They do get dirty. I disassembled mine and ran it thru the dishwasher. Oil it up and ready to go.

    SF, the dishwasher trick works very well, until the wife comes home early. Ask me how I know!!

    @grdad45 Just don't leave it in the dishwasher over night. A lazy defective did that & then blamed Walther when the department's stainless PPK/S turned orange by morning. Here's a tube of Flitz and your sign.

    I watched my Dad wash firearm parts in the sink with soap and water... he explained they cleaned the ships guns with soap and water and oiled them up.
