Have you guys seen this taking place in Maryland. We have some of these "Sovern Citizens" around here. They refuse to get driver's licenses.

The world is full of crazy people, and yes we used to have some sovereign citizens in our area too. Strangely enough they had no problems collecting welfare, sending their kids to tax supported schools, driving on public funded roads and most other benefits provided by taxpayers. Kind of a have your cake and eat it too philosophy/scam.
Sounds like it is a shame those Moorish folks didn't go missing just like their Atlantis home did. Bob

This is the very first time I have heard about this group. The Moors were once quite the warrior race that invaded a lot of European strongholds during the middle ages. I find it interesting that these people are using this name for their identity. Just another bunch of NUT JOBS trying to gain attention.

I am fresh out of sympathy for sovereign citizens. You want to be a real sovereign citizen, and not a parasite, buy a 5 acre desert island in the Bahamas, and move there with your family, with no roads, no schools, no police force, no social security checks, no public water system. Try that for 3 months and get back to me.
Sovereign citizens won't do that because they are not rugged individualists, as they imagine. They are parasitic nutcakes.

If they ever work out the bugs of not paying taxes not being arrested and jailed for it
Not having to follow all the laws big brother has burdened us with and

With a slightly different twist, this sounds a lot like the local Amish/Mennonite population.
Don't pay taxes. Don't have to meet the school attendance regulations, often have neither drivers license or insurance, Most of their firearms come from 'straw man purchases' since they don't have gov't picture ID.

Tip: When a gang of suspicious people show up at the gun range, wait until they are out of ammo before you confront them.
